Personalized Gifting 101
Trying to decide on a bridal shower or wedding gift? While we always recommend going off the registry, we have some thoughtful add-ons to help you make the gift more personalized. Here are some of our favorite ideas:

Personalized Gifting 101
On their registry:

Bar Glassware
How to add a personal touch: This is a super easy item to personalize. Adding in a book full of cocktail recipes and techniques. Bookmark your favorite cocktail and write a cute note to go along with it, like “See page 36 for a cocktail that will help you through unpacking the rest of your shower gifts.” Bonus: add in the ingredients for the cocktail to really make a statement.
Other Suggestions: Whiskey Stones, Drink Stirrers, Bar Mop Towels, Essential Corkscrew

Cheese Plates with Relish Decor

On their registry:

Cheese Board
How to add a personal touch: What goes best with a good cheese board (aside from charcuterie)? The best cheese knives around. Our pick at Relish is a set of Laguiole cutlery which comes in its own butcher block. These knives are a show stopper– something the recipients will reach for time and time again. Love it? You can also add a gift card to your local cheesemonger or an online cheese shop (like Murray’s Cheese).

On their registry:

Cocotte or any other cookware (a good skillet, or braiser)
How to add a personal touch: This is probably the easiest thing to personalize. Add on your favorite cookbook or one you’d think the couple would enjoy. Package it and a tea towel with the cookware and you’ve got a perfect present. If you really want to make this extra special, consider using one of our recipe boxes to write some of your most treasured recipes. This avenue makes a great joint gift by the bridesmaids.

On their registry:

Bakeware
How to add a personal touch: Do they have a favorite dessert (brownies, perhaps?) or is there a dish that makes you think of them (lasagne, any kind of casserole?) Bake a recipe in the bakeware and bring it by. Consider giving them their gift before the wedding when they’re low on time and stressed or after some of the wedding buzz has trickled off. This works best if you live close and we recommend giving them a head’s up but it has the potential to create a really treasured and tasty moment. *If you don’t want to use the bakeware, you could make it in a one-use aluminum pan and just present them at the same time.
Other Suggestions: Oven Mitts, Spatulas, Measuring Cups

Those are just some of our favorite ideas but the best part about personalization is…it’s personal! At Relish Decor, we’re here to help you structure any gift to be more special for the lucky bride and groom. Happy gifting!
